of the Republican Guard
is a technical as aesthetic
The requirement is huge: to make a robust and comfortable shoe, adapted to the needs of the rider, durable and matching with the secular elegance of the Republican Guard. Made to measure, the boot passes into the hands of a dozen of artisans and master bootmakers. Twelve weeks and nearly two hundred gestures later, including a manual bending on wooden form, the famous Goodyear stitching or a pecking order, the boot is back to the barracks to start its service. But the story does not stop there, these boots are made to last. The soldiers take care of it on a daily basis, and J.M. Weston repairs what needs to be done over the years, whether it is a reshaping or a broken spur cleat.
The Republican Guard boots are available on special order at J.M. Weston's Champs Elysées. 7 odds in addition to the size will be taken and 12 weeks will be necessary to the craftsmen of the Weston manufacture of Limoges to make them.
